Israel and Gaza

Past Missions - July 2014 Israel and Gaza

With the support of a dedicated team of volunteers, Spin Master lead the delivery of thousands of toys to areas where children and families sought shelter during the conflict in 2014. Despite our tireless efforts to deliver toys to both Israel and Gaza, we were unable to reach Gaza due to circumstances beyond our control. We are, however, eager to return to the area.

China

The Toy Movement partnered with Save the Children Canada to bring more than 20,000 toys to children in need in China. In China, children’s mental health and well-being has been challenged by rapid urbanization, digital transformation and large-scale population movements leading to changes in family structures. In urban areas, working parents often spend little time with their children. In rural communities, many “left-behind children” are raised by grandparents while their parents work in cities. Through this project, we were able to play a key role in building mental health support systems crucial to responding to children’s emotional and developmental needs.

In partnership with World Vision Canada, The Toy Movement reached 21,266 children across El Salvador by distributing a wide range of toys—including soccer balls, Etch A Sketches, Rubik’s Cubes, board games, card games, and building sets—to organizations supporting children and youth. Churches, schools, and community associations now use these tools to foster learning, social development, and play, allowing children to build skills, confidence, and experience the simple joy of fun.
